Atarax (hydroxyzine): Yes you can take them both together. Atarax (hydroxyzine) can be used to treat itching (and is sometimes used as a sedative because of its side effects). Ativan works completely differently and they don't interact with each other. With that being said, if you take them together, you may note increased somnolence. Do not drive when taking either.
