Not only time: This is an excellent question...Often duration of correction is the most important because you want the most bang for your buck. In the tear trough however, you must be careful what product is used. Personally, i inject only Restylane (dermal fillers) in this area. Also keep in mind, since I am in the us, the products we have that are fda approved are greatly reduced in comparison to the rest of the world.

Restylane (dermal fillers) is the : Only suggested product. Many use juvederm ultra there. Never a thicker product.

Artefil: On label, none that is fda approved. Off label, the longest lasting is artefil. Although, it should only be used by a very experienced injector as effects of a long lasting permanent filler cannot be reversed and you may be stuck with them.

Filler under eyes: Restylane (dermal fillers) or juvederm ultra will work. They probably have about the same longevity. Juvederm can sometimes have a delayed swelling effect that is seen in a few people months later. Experience and moderation is key! best wishes.
