Needs further interv: If you are hurting badly, then this so called 'cyst' needs to be managed further. Surgical removal comes to my mind as solution. This will likely alleviate the pain and inform us if this cystic structure is benign or malgnant, as cysts in this area are a bit unusual. If the doctor who told you that it is a cyst can remove it...Then go for it.Otherwise seek consultation with another neurosurgeon.
