A member asked:

Can pelvic floor dysfunction be caused by a cyst in the spinal cord surrounding the nerve roots at s1-2? if so, would biofeedback be helpful?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: however, therapy depends on what type of dysfunction and exactly what GYN imaging studies have been done. What is the specific issue related to your pelvic floor dysfunction?: bladder issues? sexual issues? pain? Please specify your symptoms. A spinal cord cysts at S1-2 could cause pelvic issues; however, this is not a common finding.
