Specific variants of scleroderma can definitely limit life expectancy, while other forms are relatively mild. Reliable sites for further information are rheumatology.org and rarediseases.org.

The prognosis of scleroderma is very variable, and impossible to predict your outcome at this point, but your rheumatologist may have an opinion. It seems that you now have symptoms of a neuropathy, which must also be managed, besides all the other problems. Perhaps a neurologist could also get involved. This is challenging, but help is available. Hope for the best.
