If blood pressure is too high will it give a false reading on a digital blood pressure monitor?

No matter how high the blood pressure, the device will accurately measure it. If you have reason to doubt the reading, take it with you next time you're at your doctor's office, so you can compare readings. Or at the BP stations offered at many pharmacies. Almost certainly the numbers will be similar (although probably not exactly the same.)
