Not great: If you have no other medical conditions, you should aim for <140/<90 at the highest. If you are diabetic or have heart disease, <135/<85 better high points. Work w/your dr & keep lowering it to target. If done too fast, can make you feel bad & since HTN is "the silent killer, " you won't be able to self-justify the treatment.

It's high: The average reading you are seeing is high, and does need to be treated. It's not urgently high, i.e., no reason to run to the er. But every reason to take the meds from your doctor (if applicable) and to learn about ways to control with lifestyle changes. Search online for information about the d.A.S.H. Diet and other ways to get your blood pressure in control.
