Was taking 25mg athenolol for hbp along with avapro 300mg. started cutting my atenolol dose in half as my resting heart rate hovers around 59-60. the 25mg pills are hard to cut properly and so i sometimes take an uneven dose. can this cause issues?

If you're having a lot of difficulty cutting the atenolol in half, you could switch to the 25 mg metoprolol succinate that is scored for easy cutting, and because of micropellet composition, you don't lose the 24 hour efficacy that you may lose with atenolol. Discuss this with your MD.
