There is no scientific evidence that women who have had epidurals have any more frequent back pain than anyone else.

Believe you have it confused. The back pain prompted the epidural injection, and the latter wears off after a few months, and the back pain returns. If an epidural is used during labor and delivery in an otherwise normal female, there would not be lasting back pain.
