A member asked:

Fasted for cholestrol test. potassium was in low range. lab stated my serum globulin was low snd out of normal range. worried but could fasting have affected results? thank you so much?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it would have helped had you provided the actual results, low does not say, how low. Wish you good health!
