Most 92 year old men have eGFR of less than 60 cc/minute, which is stage 3 so there is nothing to concern about this baseline. Painless, gross hematuria at this age is likely due to urinary tract malignancy, either from prostate, bladder, ureters or kidneys. If your dad wants everything done, urinalysis, PSA level and CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis should be done +/- cystoscopy.

blood in urine can be caused by many thigs. Without an exam and testing it is not possible to say what is the exact cause. have hom see a Urologist
