A member asked:

I use lorazepam 0.5mg once or twice a week for anxiety. the last 2 times, it has caused wild, rapid spasms to occur on my r eyelid, for hours. this has never happened before. do i have to stop using it? are eyelid spasms a dangerous sign?

My sense is that the eyelid symptoms were unrelated to the lorazepam. The irritable eyelid muscles or suoerficial nerve were more apt to be caused by eyestrain, fatigue, stress, caffeine, bright lights. I think you'll be fine using lorazepam as you have been doing.

You possess likely orbital myokymia which is not due to Lorazepam
