Varies among people: It depends on a person's starting dose, what his symptoms are that are being treated, how the weaning goes, etc... Thus, one needs to work with his prescribing doctor for dosing advice. The 0.5mg is the smallest tablet. If only taking it at bedtime, some people cut it in half, and take a half tablet each night for a couple of weeks, before stopping. Some skip it every other night before stopping.
