Stool burden is the descriptive that your radiologist used to describe what he saw on your abdominal CT- mild to moderate stool. Constipation is what could have caused this appearance. Are you having bowel movements at all or passing gas? The cause of the constipation may need to be explored. Constipation has a variety of causes. Try stool softeners ( colace) & followup with your doc &GI doc.

Agree with Dr. Josephson. For constipation - You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods. Consult this site for fiber foods. http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/in-depth/high-fiber-foods/art-20050948 Wish you good health!
