Soreness on the left side of my chest. i hit my chest with the handle of the hedge trimmer. no bruise but tender to touch. any remedies?

Fracture: Of rib is possible. Also, depending on how hard you it it, a pneumothorax is also possible, especially if you are short of breath or pain increases with breathing. Go see a doctor, he can figure it out for you.

Heating pad: This could still be a bruise, only deeper. If so then a heating pad (medium heat) for maybe 5-10 minutes a few times a day may help this resolve. If it doesn't then you should have someone take a look.
