A member asked:

Can quadricep or hamstring tendinosis occur in a chronic knee injury? are theses tendons overused to stabilize knee?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

These muscles along with other structures help to stabilize the knee joint. Those structures that cross the joint help to stabilize the joint. You could expect less usage of muscles with associated pain. If you have chronic pain you should seek its ideology of the pain. You never mentioned possible cause or activity that is painful. You do not have to live with the pain.
