I had a knee mri because both my knee caps been aching for over a month, what does report mean. there is mild insertional patellar tendinosis and slight adjacent soft tissue edema. quadriceps tendon is normal. regional musculature is preserved.?

You probably have overuse patellar tendinopathy from walking and running tends to localize to the mid-portion of the tendon and sometimes toward the insertion on the tibial tubercle. Icing, supportive taping, and patellar tendon straps are adjunctive treatments that provide some relief of symptoms. A short course of oral or topical NSAIDs can be used for analgesia.
