Unlikely: An "allergy" is actually a very specific type of immune reaction. While it is possible for someone to develop an allergy to nearly anything, allergy to things like caffeine is very rare. People can develop intolerances to foods, chemicals, etc., for a variety of reasons other than allergy (e.g., differences in the way your body metabolizes the caffeine), and this is most likely what is happening.
