A member asked:

Have had ear and head pressure ever since i started taper on klonopin (clonazepam). dr said ear is fine. is this a benzo withdrawal syndrome and will it go away?

Possibly withdrawal: Slow the taper down would be 1 way to handle the situation. Talk to your doctor if symptoms don't improve.

It depends: The tapering of Klonopin (clonazepam) should be individualized. It depends on your starting dose and how long you've been on it. Also one must take into consideration other factors such as stress, other medications and therapeutic endpoints. Of the benzodiazepines Klonopin (clonazepam) is probably the easiest to taper because of its relatively long half life.
