Most often, scattered white matter lesions are nonspecific and can be related to prior head injury, smoking, migraine, microvascular angiopathy, MS, plus many other causes. Brain fog is also nonspecific, and could be due to thyroid, emotional issues, dehydration, Celiac disease, etc. Obtain a second opinion from a neurologist or psychiatrist.
