I do have a history of mrsa i actually became septic from one just above my right eye and almost died from it. i have a boil on my butt that has doubled in size in just one day and is very hot. could this be mrsa?

Boils are usually staph and recently MRSA is found in the majority of those where cultures are obtained. MRSA is so common now in the environment that most practitioners assume it is & treat as such. A boil on your butt usually must be drained before it will stop recuring and many will add an anti MRSA antibiotic during treatment.
