Root canal performed 5/27. perm crown cemented 7/1. bite adjusted 7/18. crown has a very raw feeling- almost pressure related. dentist doesnt know & scheduled appt in 1 month to see how it feels after bite adjustment. any idea? tooth 19?

Why wait a month, a root canal tooth with a crown over it can fracture if the crown is high and causes pressure on biting. The tooth has no sensation because of the root canal but pressure can affect the tooth above and each tooth next to the crown. Get the bite adjusted now to have a normal feeling[occlusion].

If symptoms do not gradually improve over the next week, return to Dentist to reevaluate for need for additional adjustment. If adjustment is unsuccessful, evaluation by a root canal specialist Endodontist would be the next step. Could be tooth fracture, untreated accessory canals, or other problems that an Endodontist is best trained/experienced to address.
