Root Canal Therapy: Merely placing medication in the tooth to "kill the nerve" may only be the first step in performing rct. In the usa, the contents of the canal(s) have to be fully instrumented, shaped, disinfected, and then completely filled. I have seen in past years, rct performed outside of the us where this protocol is not followed. You should discuss this with your own dentist (or find another one).

Vague: Hard to tell from your description if the root canal has been completed or not. If so, the tooth can be sensitive to biting for awhile. Often, the dentist/endodontist will shave down the tooth a bit so that it is not touching the opposing tooth when you bite. Sometimes, biting pain can come from fracturing of the root or a gum/bone problem surrounding the tooth. If in doubt, call the dentist.

Complete the root cn: Medication alone does not complete the root canal.Until the procedure is completed, you will have pain.
