Endodontist: Visit an endodontist, a dental specialist who does root canal treatments, to have the tooth tested for vitality and treatment if necessary.

Sensitive sadly: Is an all encompassing generic term. Information needed is - sensitive to hot, cold, chewing, pressure, upon waking up, to touch ... Would recommend another evaluation and x-ray and possible referral to an endodontist. Hope this helps.

See below: It is hard to diagnose a root canal without a clinical exam but sometimes there may be no physical problem with a tooth that has sensitivity which may require a root canal. One common example is a cracked tooth which is usually not visible but it causes sensitivity and disfomfort.
