If these polyps: were benign, they are not precancerous. Stomach cancer do not necessarily run in families. If you have no other risk factors, such as H. pylori infection, alcohol, or tobacco, your risk is probably baseline. Ask your gi specialist for specific recommendation regarding further monitoring. But your risk of developing malignancy in another organ is probably higher.

FGP> than20 ,r/o FAP: Polyps which are ulcerated or located in antrum, greater than 1 cm should be resected and dysplasia or neoplasia should be ruled out. In sporadic FGPs attributed to PPI, discontinuation of PPI is encouraged. FAP should be ruled out if FGP are seen in a multitude (20 or greater), located in the antrum, at an early age (younger than 40 years), or concurrent Dud. adenoma, colonoscopy should be done.
