My son is 6 weeks old, due to mucusy stool his doctor said it's an allergy so prescribed aptamil pepti formula. after 12 days, the stool is still mucusy. no fever, eats well, sleeps well, has no impatience, and has normal weight gain. is it ok?

Another conversation is an infection, stool cultures may be ordered. Keep your son well hydrated, watch for signs of dehydration and blood in the stool. A rash often is associated with milk allergy. Testing for milk and soy allergy may be considered.
