My 3 year old had a food allergy for the first time. doctor gave an oral steroid now he is soaked in sweat no fever is this normal?

Not usual but: Food allergy is not usually treated with steroid. However when the dose is high, it may cause flushing and thus the sweating without fever. Food reactions usually subside in less than a day at best and thus i question the use of steroid unless he had hives which could not be controlled with large dose of antihistamine.
