I got exfoliative cheilitis on accutane. i finished it already and told my doctor about my lips. she prescribed mupirocin. my lips seem to be getting better but still peel if im not careful when eating. how do i know if my lips are healing?

This is an unfortunate side effect of this medication. Once off the medication, it may take 2-4 weeks for all of the Accutane to be out of your system. During this time, the effect on your lips will be slowly reducing and you should see improvement in the symptoms.
