Onset of Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) is 10 -20 years after original infection. I would discuss follow up plans for this with local Drs who know more about it in Israel in men like you who had carditis at the time you had it. You may want to invest a few shekels and go to uptodate.com and read all about RHD which will save you time (compared to Dr. Google) and worry and maybe your life.
