A member asked:

What if i will take urine pregnancy test that has 10 miu/ml exactly 21 days after intercourse and the result will be negative? should i not be worried that i'm not pregnant and trust the result? note: i have irregular cycle?

A pregnancy test will be positive as soon as the first day of your missed period. for women with irregular cycles, take tests two weeks apart. For accurate testing, the first morning urine should be used. You can repeat the test with a different brand if you want to double check. The initial signs of pregnancy are breast tenderness and enlargement, nausea and dizziness.

A correctly done home pregnancy test result, if negative should be reassuring. It would be prudent to repeat the test 4-5 days later, unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
