With embryo transfer, the failure rate is significant. Since the process may be delayed in successful intrauterine attachment, it is appropriate to continue testing with HCG serum, which can detect very low levels of pregnancy hormone. I negative HCG in another week, probability for pregnancy is minimal for this transfer.
