What can cuase a lymph node to be permently enlarged? i have a node on the side of my jaw around half an inch and it's never changed. i've had it for around 5 months. i've got no symptoms of lyphona. so what could this be cuased by?

Lymph nodes are hubs for immune system components. If there is an infection, the lymph nodes near it swell with immune system cells, antibodies, etc. If you have a lymph node that has been swollen for 5 months, it is concerning and should be seen by your primary care Dr. for a thorough evaluation and potentially labs.
