Such a symptom would require proper diagnosis first, acidity would be somehow atypical to cause back symptoms. Keeping a log of your symptoms with circumstances, duration, behavior will help your doc better identify the condition causing your symptoms.

I would be reluctant to attribute this to an esophageal or acid reflux issue. Sometimes this is the prodrome of shingles. Observe for a rash. Another possible cause is radiculopathy caused by a bulging disc or vertebral spur pressing on a nerve root in your midspine. An MRI would demonstrate this. If symptoms persist see your MD and discuss this possibility.
