A member asked:

I have been in a habit of stopping my pee midstream for about 2 years. i have quit recently because i didn't realize how bad it can be. should i be worried about possible damage to kidneys/bladder? i don't have any negative symptoms?

It is very unlikely that your practice did any harm to the kidneys. Next time you see your doctor you should mention it so that he may check you creatinine level and urine protein, just to make sure. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

No you did not do any damage. In the future- let it flow!
