A week ago i had an mri with contrast material. after a few hours i had pain in my veins near to the position i was injected. i feel the vein harder than usual. is this normal? should i visit a doctor? thank you?

You developed pain and induration (hardness) at your MRI contrast injection site within hours but that was a week ago. If you had developed an infection or clot, I would suspect it's gotten worse by now. If you still have acute pain, redness, swelling, chest pain, or shortness of breath, go to the ER now. If the injection site has healed and you are asymptomatic there's nothing to worry about.
