Human papilloma virus causes cutaneous warts as well as cervical cancer. Transmission occurs with direct skin contact, especially where there is breakage of skin. Some people can be carriers and never develop warts. Once someone gets if, it can take years for the body to clear the virus. Recurrent warts can still occur after removal

The wart virus is spread thru direct contact . Should your skin come in contact with skin containing a wart, it is possible to develop a wart from the exposure. However, the chances of that happening from the information that you have provided is slim.
