Bean bag chairs have little pieces of plastic foam. Toddlers explore their world by mouthing things, so tend to eat stuff that isn't food. They usually pass items they swallow, without symptoms, so we don't have to check kids' poop for items. If worried, such as if a child has some symptoms, a call to the doctor can help decide. Bad things to swallow include magnets, batteries, and others' pills.

Most likely there will be no symptoms from a small amount of non toxic filling without choking or pulmonary symptoms. The material in the GI tract will be eliminated. If aspirated into the airway, respiratory symptoms may develop. Watch for signs of shortness of breath, cough and wheezing.
