I have always been sensitive in my reaction to fevers. i also had febrile seizures as a child. yesterday when my fever suddenly went from 100.4 to 101.4 i felt needles in my entire body and my arms cramped up completely. was that a febrile seizure?

Please have COVID 19 testing. A fever makes you potentially more prone to seizure activity. Treat and manage the fever,. The episode is not a typical seizure, but muscle aches occur with Flu or COVID 19 infection. If the fever lasts more than two days or occurs with breathing difficulty, please see a physician.

Febrile seizures occur solely in young children and do not occur at age 27 yrs. You do not describe any epileptic event, but your cramps could have been related to changes in ionized calcium or magnesium. The etiology of your fever, if it persists, needs to be uncovered. Contact your regular physician and proceed further.
