A member asked:

I read an article that said delaying the mmr vaccine in a child after 15 month of age increases chances of febrile seizures. why? my son is scheduled to get it at 16 months. he couldn't get it at 15 months due to a cold. should i be concerned?

Not really. The odds for toddlers to experience febrile seizure are higher in those with positive family history of febrile seizure, and in those receiving the combination vaccine, MMRV (MMR and varicella).
