I had a at scan in 2016 for a,cyst on my kidney.all okay i was told today i saw a nephrologist for an unrelated issue.he saw the 2016 test and said i may have adrenal hyperplasia cause the 2916 said my adrenals,were both enlarged .is that cancer?

Hyperplasia means overgrowth or enlargement. Your adrenals elaborate different types of hormones and are responsive to signals in the endocrine system. If both adrenals are truly enlarged they may be responding to a signal from the hypothalmamus or pituitary. If they are producing hormones you would be expected to have side effects from those hormones. Followup with your doctor.

It is strange that the 2016 report did not note adrenal hyperplasia. If it is so, pl have another CT. Bilat adrenal enlargement does not mean cancer
