A member asked:

At times my left nipple feels tender to touch. could this be male breast cancer or gynecomastia?what are symptoms of gynecomastia in men? how do you differentiate between male breast cancer and gynecomastia? what could the tender left nipple signify?

Gynecomastia occurs in less than 10% of all cases. unilateral form and cancer are even more infrequent and arises as a nontender hard mass. Tender nipple can signify infection. Best to see a surgeon and not worry. Good luck.
