A member asked:

Hi doctors. i am a 62 year-old male. i think that i have gynecomastia. in addition, my left nipple intermittently feels tender. what do i do about this? how do i make sure that it is or is not make breast cancer? how is it treated? does it go away?

While male breast cancer is unusual, it does happen and only proper evaluation and tests can exclude it as a possibility. Gynecomastia can also be a sign of other systemic disorders. Go see your doc and discuss all these issues in detail. Treatments depend on the diagnosis, which is not clear from these symptoms.
