Check with her treating doc. Much of the interpretation of results depends on why it was ordered and how the specimen was obtained. Less than 50,000 may be ignored as inconclusive and repeated or the doc may consider it a true UTI.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, a count of less than 100,000 is generally not significant. Wish you and your wife good health!

This has to be co-related with symptoms. If properly collected and no symptoms and no co-morbidities- no treatment needed. If symptomatic or morbidities-yes. Best to let ordering MD preferably Urologist. decide
