You ask the right question because cardiologist does not like calcium (Ca) supplement due to vascular calcification risk but a family doctor will recommend vitamin D3 + Ca supplement for osteopenia. If you are eating a healthy diet with a good calcium content (dairy products, soybeans, etc.), I would recommend opting out Ca supplement and you can take both D3 + K2 for both bone and heart health.
