The incidence of the deformity has been reported in up to 12% on autopsy studies and some may consider a normal variation. The incidence of testicular torsion, often related to this deformity has been reported in 1-5/100,000 males. There is no reasonable way to know whether you have the deformity without an exam, & if you do it would matter.
