I take gaviscon and i have been drinking seltzer waters that are flavored naturally all day. i read not to take with citric acid or it increases the aluminum. now im worried, isnt there citric acid in carbonated drinks?

Yes, taking citric acid solution along with Gaviscon can increase aluminum absorption but this interaction is only clinically significant in patients with advanced kidney disease because aluminum will be accumulated and cause toxicity. Furthermore, there is no citric acid in pure carbonated drink.
