Sparkling : Sparkling or carbonated drinks contain carbonic acid and this can damage your teeth.

Some : Some of the sweetened sparkling waters are sweetened with artificial not "real" sugars. They have their own drawbacks though somewhat different from "real" sugar. Read the label so at least you know what you are dealing with. Generally speaking unprocessed foods and drinks are the better way to go (read some of michael pollan's works like omnivore's dillema and in defense of food..).

The : The reason that sodas are not good for you is that there is too much refined sugar in each can of soda. If you are sedentary, this easily absorbed suger will turn into fat. For approximately every 10 cans you drink, you will gain 1 pound of fat if it is not excercised off. Also, the sugar in the soda can promote cavities. Flavored water are often sugar and calories free thus better than sugared sodas.
