A member asked:

I recovered from covid and felt good for 2 weeks, but now have symptoms of bronchitis with 2 negative covid rapid tests. is this related? am i contagious? what should i do? worried this is long-covid, but i'm young and relatively healthy?

If you have no fever and otherwise feel OK take OTC med for cough. It does not seem to be long covid for your tests are neg. Till you have cough take precautions. If not better in a 3-4 days or if worried see your MD. Hope you feel better

You did not give detailed information about your Covid-19 infection course. If you had significant pulmonary symptoms during that time, the current bronchial symptoms could be one manifestation of post Covid pulmonary syndrome although you are tested negative and no longer a host. Unfortunately, long Covid syndrome can occur in previously healthy individuals. You can take med for cough as needed.
