All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, all it means is bleeding in the GI tract, In your husbands case, it warrants that residual or recurrent cancer be excluded. Wish you and your husband good health!

This should be interpreted in light of findings at surgery and possible side effect of the drugs used for chemotherapy. Let the treating MD decide. Good luck
