Had multiple ct scans this month. the first appointment consisted of a scan of my chest and abdomen with and without contrast. the second appointment was of my abdomen and pelvis and was only with contrast. should i be concerned about radiation?

Without an idea of what the ordering Dr's are looking for, this question cannot be answered. A thorough evaluation such as this is sometimes undertaken because of a high risk of a life-threatening illness. The ordering Dr is balancing the slight risks from radiation exposure to the much higher risk of missing a life threatening diagnosis. Talk to your Dr about the results and next steps.
